Cindy Gallop is Fighting Ageism in a Sexy New Way

“When you have a truly world changing startup, you have to change the world to fit it, not the other way around.”

Did you know ageism is bad for your health? A Yale study found that ageism leads to worse outcomes in a number of mental health conditions and a number of physical health conditions, including a shorter life expectancy. Yet it’s the one -ism that affects all of us. We all age, if we’re so lucky.

In this episode, I talk to one of my role models, Cindy Gallop. Cindy is a vocal advocate helping educate and find solutions for ageism and sexism across all industries.

After a successful career in advertising, she launched her company on the TED stage, with the goal to end ageism, increase happiness, and bring world peace.

Topics covered:

  • How ageism in advertising and media impacts all of us

  • How to end ageism in every industry

  • Meeting the needs of a growing aging population

  • How porn has become sex ed, and not in a good way

  • How to end rape culture
